James Bray
General Partner of Good Bull Capital Fund II
Good Bull Capital is proud to announce the addition of James “Jim” Bray as General Partner for Good Bull Capital II, LP. Jim brings a wealth of operational leadership and financial expertise, having built Texas Pride Trailers into a $200 million manufacturing powerhouse from humble beginnings.
Starting with a single hand-built trailer in his Florida backyard, Jim grew Texas Pride into one of the nation’s largest trailer manufacturers, employing nearly 500 people and producing over 250,000 units. His approach—prioritizing craftsmanship over automation—has created premium pricing power and deep customer loyalty in a competitive market.
Jim’s entrepreneurial journey spans multiple sectors. In 2013, he co-founded The Trailer Parts Outlet with his son Tyler, leveraging technology to address distribution inefficiencies. His ventures also include Bray’s Motor Museum & Playground, a 300-acre Texas property that houses over 100 vintage vehicles, generating revenue through events and experiences. His real estate portfolio reflects a disciplined investment strategy rooted in manufacturing principles.
Jim’s robust balance sheet and creditworthiness significantly enhance Good Bull’s ability to acquire, own, and operate holding companies. His financial stability strengthens the general partnership’s capacity to execute financing strategies and pursue rapid expansion.
“Jim’s operator mentality and strategic mindset align perfectly with our vision,” said Luke Cheatham, Managing Partner at Good Bull. “His addition bolsters our ability to deliver value to investors and partners, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the team.”
Jim holds an MBA and a Doctorate in Marketing, underscoring his systematic approach to business theory and practice. His investment philosophy centers on identifying undervalued assets in traditional industries and unlocking value through operational improvements.
