Do the principals invest their own capital in the fund directly?

All partners at Good Bull Investments have skin in the game!

We also are seeding investments with our own capital so that returns are immediate upon investment. The amounts we have invested in each offering will be disclosed to all investors.

Why is that important to you as an investor? When the general partners have their own dollars invested in the fund, they’re highly incentivized to increase profits and due diligence. It shows commitment and instills confidence knowing that our vision and goals are aligned.

How do fixed returns work?

The fixed return you’ll earn at Good Bull Lending depends on how long you decide to lock up the funds. Our options include: a 6-month option with a 5.5% or 6% annual return, a 12-month option at 6.5%, 18 months at 7%, and 24 months is an 8% annual return.

We also offer a unique liquid account, where our investors can earn 5% or 5.5% and redeem their investment at any time with a 15-day notice. Occasionally, some of our clients will decide to ladder their investment, much like you can with bonds or CDs.

What does Good Bull mean?

“Good Bull,” is a double entendre!

Several of us within the leadership of Good Bull Investments are Texas A&M Fighting Aggies, and “Good Bull,” stands for anything that embraces the Aggie spirit or traditions. Like our alma mater, we want a strong defense, and we’re conservative, while getting wins for our investor group.

Good Bull Capital is also a reference to a good “bull” market, as one of our strongest values includes never losing money!

How does Good Bull Lending work?

Traditional financing (what society is used to), primarily consists of going to a bank and applying for a loan for a new home, car purchase, or a refinance. However, sometimes traditional financing won’t work in certain situations, i.e., individuals who cannot afford to wait on normal bank underwriting timeframes or corporations who need bridge financing for special situations. Good Bull Lending specializes in these non-traditional special situation loans, with the speed and flexibility to get deals done and the due-diligence and expertise to deliver consistent favorable terms for our investors.

What does hurdle rate mean?

This is a rate that the investor base receives prior to any profits being shared with the general partners. Fund managers commonly offer hurdle rates to limited partners, the investors, as a form of protection against poor performance. In Fund 1, Good Bull Capital offered a 7% hurdle rate for all capital raised.

What are the minimum eligibility requirements?

At this time, we’re only accepting accredited investors. Good Bull Lending has a minimum investment requirement of $50,000 and for Good Bull Capital’s opportunity funds and syndications, typically the requirement begins at $100,000, however, these requirements are subject to change on a deal-by-deal basis as the fund grows and provides additional opportunities.

The two most common ways to qualify as “accredited,” are either making $200,000+ per year for (at least) the last two years or having a net worth of at least one million dollars excluding your private residence. If your CPA can attest to either of these two requirements, you are an accredited investor, and we’d love to have you!

What is a reasonable expected return with Fund 1 of Good Bull Capital?

The Good Bull principals have a background in risk mitigation, and we are carrying that philosophy into the private equity space for our investors by offering a 7% hurdle rate. You can invest with confidence knowing that the general partners will not be sharing in profits until you, the investor pool, receives at least this preferred return of 7%. With this structure, obviously the fund managers are targeting well above the 7% mark, because we want to make a profit as well. While Good Bull will constantly strive to maximize protection, we will be investing in companies that can grow by 30% or more while stable returns are always the top priority. While returns are never guaranteed, our core philosophy is to do everything in our power to first, not lose money, and second, provide consistent returns.

What does “preferred return” with Good Bull Lending mean?

“Preferred” in this case means preferred for the investors over the general partners.

In other words, you, the investor, get paid back first. Risk does exist, so as always returns are not guaranteed, but you do get the first fruits of our efforts with the preferred return, and Good Bull Lending does not profit from this venture unless we manage a spread above the fixed preferred return that is offered to our investor pool.
